Summer 2026 Release: Takeoff to Estimate, Payment Runs, Tender Mode and Offline Certificates

Short answer: July and August closed four long-standing gaps — measurement now writes estimate lines, the payment run now produces bank files and remittances, bids are tracked from invitation to outcome, and the field app issues electrical certificates offline. Plus RFIs, statutory hazard timescales, and a search that finds things.

Measurements now write your estimate lines

The one we are most pleased with. Previously, measuring a drawing and building an estimate were two separate exercises: you typed out a list of items, then went and measured against it.

Now it runs the right way round. You measure on the drawing, and those measurements propose the estimate lines they drive. You check and price a proposed list instead of authoring one from scratch, and each line traces back to the measurement behind it — so when a drawing is revised, you can see what the change touches.

The measurement engine also gained the ability to create the line it drives directly, which means a single measurement no longer needs a pre-existing line waiting for it.

Paying subcontractors, end to end

The finance side had the largest gap between what contractors do weekly and what the software helped with. That is now closed.

Bills read themselves. Drop a subcontractor bill into the Bills inbox and it fills itself in for you to check. You are approving a populated record rather than typing one.

Approved runs produce a bank file. An approved payment run generates a file to upload to your bank, plus a remittance advice for each subcontractor — built from the same approved data, so what you approved, what you paid and what you told the subcontractor cannot drift apart.

Hire bills are checked against the hire. An inbound hire bill now shows which hired item each line relates to, and flags any line charging for days after that item went back. Off-hire disputes are usually found months later on a statement; now they are found before payment.

Xero is self-serve. Link your Xero account from Settings and send invoices across as drafts. No implementation call.

VAT on the whole job. New quotes charge VAT on the full price, labour included, with the rate settable per job.

Tender mode

Bids now exist as tracked objects rather than as email threads. Track a bid from the invitation arriving through to the outcome, with the submission deadline sitting in Key Dates alongside the project's other critical dates.

The point is that a return deadline stops living in one person's memory, and win rates become something you can look at rather than estimate. The process it supports is described in the UK construction tender process.

Estimates become programmes. Load a spreadsheet straight out of your estimating software and get draft jobs, labour hours and a materials list without typing any of it in.

RFIs

Raise a Request for Information from a job, link it to the drawing it concerns, and track the answer with a full audit. Every project now carries an RFIs tab, so the register is one shared object rather than a spreadsheet on somebody's desktop.

Compliance: statutory clocks and your own approval chain

Awaab's Law hazard timescales. Log housing hazards and track the statutory repair deadlines with live countdowns and breach alerts, so a deadline is visible to the person who can hit it. Detail in Awaab's Law: the repair timescales contractors actually have to hit.

RAMS through your own approval hierarchy. Admins can define their organisation's own RAMS approval chain — naming each level the way they refer to it internally, and choosing exactly who signs off at each stage.

The daily site diary keeps a signed daily record of what happened on every live site: weather, hours, operatives, inductions and delays. Why that record matters more than it looks is covered in the daily site diary.

The field app

Electrical certificates, offline. Electricians can create, complete and issue EICR, EIC and Minor Works certificates from a phone, with the whole flow working with no signal and syncing when back online. Which certificate applies when is covered in EICR, EIC or Minor Works.

Site photos save properly. Before-and-after photos are attached to the shift rather than lost after upload.

Split shifts record properly. Clocking in a second time on the same day now records that shift.

No signal no longer stops you clocking in.

Material requests, start to finish. Raise a request, get it signed off, upload each delivery note as it lands, and close it out when everything has arrived.

Customers and quotes

Clients see everything you run for them. Clients now see every project you run for them, get notified when something happens, and can accept or decline a quote from the link you sent.

Change requests, line by line. Rather than only approving or declining, a customer can ask for changes on specific lines, and you answer with a re-priced revision. Fewer dead quotes, and a record of what was actually negotiated.

Scheduling and reporting

Redesigned schedule export with a live preview, presets, selectable date ranges and filters, plus a roomier Gantt.

Job detail as an operational hub — everything needed to run a job on one page, with the actions to do it.

Search that finds things. Matches as you type, ranks exact references first, shows how many matches there really are, and works for read-only and auditor roles.

Pricing is now published

Alongside these changes we have put our prices on the site. Starter is £120 a month, including one admin user and five field workers. Professional is £400 a month, including three admin users and fifteen field workers. Enterprise is priced to the operation.

What is next
