What does ScopeKit actually do?
ScopeKit is a UK construction management platform covering the whole job: taking off quantities from drawings and building quotes, tracking tenders, scheduling crews and subcontractors, running site operations through an offline field app, evidencing CDM 2015 and Building Safety Act compliance, and handling the money — invoices, applications for payment, CIS, subcontractor payment runs and per-project cost control.

Is ScopeKit a job-management app or project-management software?
Both, which is the point. It covers the job-management ground trades apps cover — quoting, scheduling, invoicing, timesheets — and adds the commercial and compliance depth a contractor doing regulated work needs, including CDM 2015, the golden thread, native CIS, applications for payment and cost value reconciliation. It is built for firms that have outgrown a job app but are not buying enterprise software.

Do we have to adopt all of it at once?
No. Phased adoption is normal: most firms start with quoting and the customer pipeline, add scheduling and field operations once crews are on board, then layer compliance and the finance side. The platform does not change shape as you grow, and each plan includes a seat allowance for admin users and field workers.

Is it built for the UK, or adapted from something else?
Built for the UK end to end. CDM 2015, RIDDOR, the Building Safety Act and the golden thread, the Construction Act payment regime, CIS, the VAT domestic reverse charge, BS EN standards and UK builders' merchants are native to the system rather than retrofitted onto software designed for another market.

What happens on site when there is no mobile signal?
The field experience is offline-first. Timesheets, photos, forms, RAMS sign-offs and electrical certificates are written locally and sync when connectivity returns, with conflict detection where the same record was edited on two devices. Basements, meter cupboards and rural sites are exactly where records get made, so this is designed for rather than tolerated.
