This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
1. Introduction and Scope
ScopeKit provides an intelligent construction quote management platform designed for UK construction businesses. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of our Service, including organisation administrators, employees, and any other individuals who access or use the platform.
By using our Service, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violations and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts.
This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Permitted Uses
ScopeKit is designed specifically for legitimate construction business operations. The following uses are permitted and encouraged:
- Generating and managing construction quotes for legitimate business purposes
- Managing customer relationships and project information
- Storing and organising construction-related documents and certifications
- Scheduling and tracking workforce activities
- Communicating with clients and team members about projects
- Generating reports and analytics for business operations
- Using AI-assisted features to improve quote accuracy and efficiency
- Integrating with approved third-party tools for business operations
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using our Service. This list is not exhaustive, and we reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation.
Illegal Activities
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws
- Facilitating money laundering, tax evasion, or financial fraud
- Engaging in activities that violate UK construction industry regulations
- Using the Service in connection with any criminal enterprise
Harassment and Abuse
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages or spam
- Engaging in discriminatory conduct based on protected characteristics
- Publishing defamatory, offensive, or harmful content
Unauthorised Access
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
- Bypassing or circumventing security measures
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems
- Using another user's credentials without authorisation
Data Scraping and Automated Access
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools without prior written consent
- Systematically downloading or extracting data from the Service
- Reverse-engineering our AI systems or algorithms
- Using the Service to train competing AI or machine learning models
Malware and Security Threats
- Uploading viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Distributing ransomware, spyware, or trojans
- Attempting denial-of-service attacks or system overloads
- Introducing code designed to damage or disrupt the Service
Impersonation
- Impersonating another person, company, or entity
- Falsely claiming affiliation with any organisation
- Creating fake accounts or misrepresenting your identity
- Using deceptive business names or credentials
Third-Party Rights Violations

Generated Content Misuse
- Presenting generated quotes as final without professional review
- Using generated outputs to mislead clients about pricing or capabilities
- Attempting to manipulate ScopeKit Intelligence to produce harmful outputs
- Removing or obscuring generated content disclaimers when required
False or Misleading Information
- Uploading false certifications, qualifications, or credentials
- Providing inaccurate business information or references
- Creating fraudulent quotes or project records
- Misrepresenting the status, scope, or details of projects
4. Content Standards
All content uploaded to or created within the Service must meet the following standards:
Accuracy
All information uploaded must be accurate and truthful. This includes project details, pricing information, certifications, and business credentials.
Professionalism
Communications and content should maintain a professional standard appropriate for B2B business relationships in the construction industry.
Relevance
Content should be relevant to construction business operations and the legitimate use of our services.
Compliance
All content must comply with UK laws, including but not limited to CDM 2015 regulations, health and safety requirements, and employment laws.
Construction Industry Note: Users must ensure all uploaded certifications (CSCS cards, trade qualifications, insurance documents, etc.) are genuine and current. Falsifying such documents may constitute fraud and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
5. Security Requirements
All users share responsibility for maintaining the security of the platform. You must adhere to the following security practices:
Security Best Practices
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication when available
- Keep your account credentials confidential and never share them with others
- Log out of your account when using shared or public devices
- Report any suspicious activity or security concerns immediately
- Keep your devices and browsers updated with the latest security patches
- Only access the Service from secure, trusted networks
- Review and manage user permissions regularly within your organisation
Organisation administrators are additionally responsible for implementing appropriate access controls, conducting regular access reviews, and ensuring departing employees have their access promptly revoked.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it promptly. Reporting helps us maintain a safe and professional environment for all users.

When reporting, please provide as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, any relevant usernames or account details, and supporting evidence if available. All reports are treated confidentially.
7. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this policy will be addressed proportionately based on the severity and frequency of the violation. We may take any of the following actions:
Warning
For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning explaining the violation and required corrective action.
Temporary Suspension
For moderate violations or repeated minor violations, we may temporarily suspend access to some or all features while we investigate.
Account Termination
For serious violations, repeated offences, or failure to comply with warnings, we may permanently terminate your account without refund.
Legal Action
For violations that cause significant harm or involve illegal activity, we may pursue legal remedies including damages and reporting to authorities.
Note: We reserve the right to skip lower-level consequences and proceed directly to account termination or legal action for serious violations. All decisions are at our sole discretion.
8. Amendments to Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or industry best practices. When we make changes:
- We will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this policy
- For material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service
- We will provide at least 14 days' notice before significant changes take effect
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
