Questions contractors usually ask
What buyers ask before signing up — answered straight.
01
Will the AI guess at prices and get them wrong?
ScopeKit's AI works from your historical project data, regional UK market rate benchmarks, your materials catalogue, and a 9-region rate calibration map. It doesn't guess. Every line traces back to a rate, a quantity and a rule, and you review every quote before sending it.
02
What kind of jobs does the AI actually understand?
32 sectors, ranging from kitchen and bathroom fits, plumbing and electrical, through scaffolding and groundworks, to demolition and tree surgery. Each sector has its own prompt, mandatory-rule scaffold and trade-specific materials catalogue. If you work in a sector that isn't listed, we usually have it covered under one of the broader categories — happy to confirm on a demo.
03
How long does it take to send a finished quote?
From site visit to branded quote, contractors typically take a few minutes. Snap photos on site, walk through the AI-suggested scope, adjust where you'd price differently, and send. The customer accepts online with a digital signature; the quote slots straight into your pipeline.
04
Will it pick up the bits that catch us out, like fire escapes on a loft conversion?
Yes. ScopeKit runs a project-calibration scaffold over every quote — for a loft conversion that means it flags a fire escape, structural engineer's calc, building control sign-off and the rest of the mandatory items before the quote can be finalised. You can override anything; you can't accidentally miss it.
05
Can we use our own labour rates and not the market average?
Yes. Your organisation's labour rates and material favourites are stored separately from the market benchmark. The AI uses your rates as the primary input and only falls back to the regional average when you don't have a rate for a specific item.
AI quoting is included in every ScopeKit plan — from Starter through to Enterprise. See pricing to find the right tier for your team.
